Jesus, They Call
Jesus - they wrote of your coming long before anyone understood what your coming meant.
Jesus, They Call
Jesus - they wrote
of your coming long
before anyone understood
what your coming meant.
And they awaited you.
Jesus - they followed
your every step along
the road to life, and yet
were blinded to the truth.
Still, they believed in you.
Jesus - they left
that fatal night the
soldiers came to take you
to your death - our life.
They trust in you faltered.
Jesus - they mourned
at your feet as you
expired upon the cross
that you were born to bear.
Dead was their bright new king.
Jesus - they came
to anoint your body as
was the custom of the time,
but found you had risen.
Your temple was restored.
Jesus - they cried
for their weakness and
disbelief, now they understand,
and it os the name of
Jesus, Jesus - they call.
